Magic

It seems that as we grow older we lose our sense of wonder. We learn, incorrectly I believe, that magic has no place in an adult world. We determine that there are reasons and explanations for everything, even those we have yet failed to fathom.

Well, maybe we are wrong.

Maybe the world is magical, more magical than we believe.

Some things should defy our explanation. Some things should mystify.

And we will be better off if at least here and there, we eschew the scientific, the philosophical, the common sense approach, and just revel in the magic.

A soulful life is one that is always ready and willing to be surprised, often is, and doesn’t try to pierce the veil of wonder at each encounter.
